To be honest, I got bored of The Chap magazine some time back. The joke just started wearing a bit thin. But Jason Lee has just sent over the latest edition, which might be of mod-specific interest.

Mods wanted for Vogue shoot in UK

Fancy appearing in US Vogue? Well, if you are available to be in Brighton at the end of the week for a photo shoot and can send a photo over today, you might be able to do just that.

It's described as a 'once in a lifetime opportunity to shoot with the biggest photographers in the world and a supermodel (Natalia Vodianova), for Vogue', with the shoot taking place on Wed 29th and Thurs 30th in Brighton. You'll all be paid, as well as being shot for the magazine - £75 per day.

Ok, now here's the bad news. You don't need to have model looks, but you do need to have a mod look and be 'young and attractive'. If you aren't sure how young and attractive you are, just send a photo over to the agency - specifically Jody@theeyecasting.com. Oh yes, you really need to do it today, as they'll be shortlisting the final six tomorrow. Note that this is for both males and females, not just the lads.

An interview with Booker T Jones

This is a quite something for us - we've been mixing in with the big boys and have just done an interview with Booker T Jones (of MGs fame, as you well know), which is now online.

Neil 'Hideaway Club' Henderson took the interview. He also checked out the new album by Booker T, with a mini review of that thrown in too. Two for one if you like. Anyway, Booker T talks about that album, his past, that original Stax tour and of course, Green Onions.

Mojo '60s magazine with free 45

While the content might not be as good as it could have been, the Mojo '60s magazine might well be worth a look.

According to the official write-up. this 60s-centric publication comes with 'an exclusive, super-collectible' 7-inch vinyl copy of the Beach Boys' Cabinessence on coloured vinyl no less. As long as the copies haven't already been stolen from the cover. There's also in-depth stories on the Rolling Stones' Between The Buttons, acid and The Red Krayola. Plus unseen Hendrix, Dylan's 1966, a Baron Wolman portfolio, Roy Harper on the first moon landing, and the The Beatles.

According to Spectre on the forums, there's also some Small Faces content, a 'list of 'mod scorchers' and 'the diary of a mod girl'. Downside? That vinyl insert has bumped up the price to £9.99. Grab one from WH Smiths if you fancy it.
