Goodbye daily mailout, hello weekly one

This is an advance notice really, that we are soon to be killing off the Modculture daily email mailout and replacing it with a weekly mailshot.

Why? Well, there are a few reasons. Firstly, because many people can keep up with the daily stories in other ways (Facebook, Twitter, RSS, reading the site), so the email is not as important as it once was. Secondly, we can't put any additional content in the daily mailshots, it's simply the news stories.

And finally, a weekly mailshot independent of the news can offer so much more - exclusive discount codes, newsletter-only competitions, links to news we haven't had time to feature on the site, a catch-up of things you might have missed, you get the idea.

It's being worked on now, so things might change suddenly in the next couple of weeks. We'll automatically transfer all the daily email people to the new list if we can, then offer it out to everyone else. If you don't want transferring over, let us know or simply unsubscribe when the new email goes out (just a click of a link).
