The Wigan Casino (1977) reviewed

I've managed to get a copy of Tony Palmer's newly-reissued The Wigan Casino documentary and with all haste, I've got a review of the DVD online.

For the uninitiated, Palmer took his cameras into the Casino for this 1977 documentary, which was part of a This England thread on ITV, capturing life as it was in the mid-70s - in this case, the grim reality of life in the town and the joy that the club provides for some of its young residents.
