10 varieties of mod article
What is mod in 2010? Can anyone accurately describe it? I certainly can't, but I can narrow it down to 10 types, which I've done in the 10 varieties of mod article.
If you see yourself in any of them, please don't be offended, it's all purely tongue-in-cheek. In fact, I probably take myself apart as much as anyone in the article. And as the old saying goes, 'if you can't laugh at yourself...'.
Check it out now if you have five minutes to spare - and if you can think of anymore, let us know. Also, look out for the cartoon version of each one coming soon.

Very good, think I must be a bit of a contradiction as I fit into old school Mod and revival Mod! Where was Northern Soul Mod though, who got touched by Venus while out on the floor at a Casino where there's no gambling and is well on the way to Disco hell while secretly wanting to join the Royal Ballet and then think Mods look funny because they're not wearing vests with patches and flared jeans.

Excellent piece! So, like the previous commentator above, I seem to fit in to the old school, revival category, but I also can't deny feeling like I'm going through a bit of a 'Mod life crisis.' I mean I want the bespoke suits, shirts etc..but know I can't really afford to dole out that kind of cash on them, so I settle for the well-known off the peg Mod brands, such as Merc, Baracuta, Gabicci etc.

Brilliant article - fun to read pretty spot on, although as Tony points out reckon it's possible to have a foot in two camps!
Reckon I'm mostly Indie-Mod with a hefty flavouring of Revival Mod :o)
Can't wait to see the cartoons!
