Privilege (1967) DVD reviewed

Priv1

The question 'can you buy Privilege on DVD?' has been into the Modculture inbox more times than I can remember, greeted by the answer 'no'. Well, all that has changed with the BFI/Flipside issue of Privilege.

Not only that, we've just put up our review of Peter Watkins' cult classic, which is released by the BFI on January 25th (being sold by Amazon for just £7.98 too).

For the uninitiated, Privilege is about a pop star (Paul Jones) controlling the masses, but controlled himself by the government, the church and big business. That's until his head is turned by artist Vanessa (Jean Shrimpton). Check out our thoughts right now.
