Here's something you'll love or hate – the Clarks x Fox desert boots.
Fox you ask? Well, Fox Brothers & Co. are a world renowned wool & worsted manufacturer, used by a number of Savile Row taiors and now used by Clarks for some footwear, specifically using a pinstripe in 100 per cent wool in grey and navy. There's also a crepe sole, the classic desert boot profile and internal labelling showing off the cloth maker's credentials.
A limited edition, you can pre-order now for January release, priced at £69.95. See an image from another angle over the page.

A gem from the 1960s archives has been reissued once more – the Adidas Chile '62 trainers.
As the name suggests, the shoes were introduced to coincide with the World Cup in Chile in 1962, designed as a football shoe for frozen pitches. The latest reissue has a 'tough worn leather' uppers, smooth leather lining, gold branding and a rubber outsole with 'stud' pattern. Quite possibly useful in the winter snow as a bonus.
Available now, it sells for £69.99. See another view over the page.

It might be a classic 60s design, but this Miu Miu Shift Dress certainly doesn't sell at a 1960s price.
Sleek and luxurious, the dress takes a clear cue from the swinging 60s, with an instantly retro shape. Keeping it simple, the sleeveless round neck perfectly offsets a slightly longer hemline. The thick, same coloured belt is perfectly placed at the waistline, giving a feminine edge to a straight cut dress. Jewels on the buttons too – which could account for that price.
You can get it online from Net-a-Porter for £1150. Yes, you read that correctly.

Just been browsing the Baracuta site - and there's loads of markdowns in their sale section, well ahead of the traditional sales.
Plenty of Harringtons too, including some of the quirky/limited edition jackets (there's a chunky markdown on the Baracuta X Junya Watanabe Comme Des Garcons jacket for example_. But if you want something a little more plain, this slimline Harrington G9 in check (above) was £165, but is now £89, just over half price.
Check out that and the other markdowns at the Baracuta site now.

I've not been hands-on with it yet, but the Soulvation (aka Northern Soul Stories) book by Neil Rushton certainly sounds interesting.
According to the write-up, its a collection of 'I was there' quotes from the soul singers who made the tunes and the working class kids who bought it, from the early roots of the 60s club scene to the scene's height at places like the Wigan Casino, Blackpool Mecca, The Torch and The Catacombs, finishing with Northern's latter day renaissance.
256 pages in full colour with illustrations, you can pick up a limited edition (500) hardback with an exclusive 7-inch of Jackie Ross' 'Trust In Me' b/w 'Lucky Lucky Me' by Marvin Gaye for £29.99 or a softback for £19.99. See sample pages and find out more at the website
