New band: Deep Street Soul

Deep

Looking for some rough, funk Hammond-driven soul? Deep Street Soul might have what you're looking for.

Out of Australia, the band have been together since 2006, but have just released their debut album on Freestyle Records this week, which you can sample on the Freestyle site or on the band's MySpace site.

If you listen to just one song, make sure it's the band's cover of MC5's Kick Out The Jams - excellent stuff. The self-titled album is available from Amazon, priced at £8.98.
