BFI Jazz and Film Weekender

Servant

The BFI is hosting a Story of London movie season in June, including the BFI Jazz and Film Weekender.

From 12th to 14th June the BFI Jazz and Film Weekender will celebrate London’s links with jazz, including screenings and live music, jazz brunches, children's workshops, debates and dancing. And if you're a fan of the genre, there's plenty of archive footage, including everyone from Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone (filmed live at Ronnie’s), to Stan Tracey, Courtney Pine, Humphrey Lyttleton and John Dankworth.

Classic jazz-scored movies are also on show too, with The Criminal, The Servant (pictured above), and Accident (soundtracked by John Dankworth) heading the list, along with other Losey films, The Intimate Stranger, The Sleeping Tiger, and Blind Date. You can find out more via the BFI website - and we'll have more about the London season nearer the events.
