Brighton Beach NYE Party
Another option up north for a New Year's Eve night out - the Brighton Beach NYE Party.
Taking place for the 4th year running at Leeds Town Hall, it promises two rooms of music - a more commercial mix of soul, garage and indie in the main space, plus a smaller room (the Crypt) for more discerning ears, with DJs Gav Needham and Eddy Wainwright play sets of 60s underground sounds from chunky black vinyl.
Tickets are initially priced at £10 in advance.

I've been told this is pretty bad. But I'd still love for that little soul room to be promising.
Last years' NYE I went to Revolver in Manchester. Revolver's my favourite clubnight normally, but it was absolutely appalling. Shame too, as I'd got about 10 newcomer mates to try it out and they were all let down.
Without the indiefication, Brighton Beach's main room would be alright. Indie + soul doesn't mix.
