Help choose the Motown top 50
Motown Records is approaching it's 50th anniversary, and has asked the public to help compile its new Motown 50 album.
Berry Gordy set up Motown in late 1958 with a small family loan, releasing the first single - Marv Johnson's 'Come To Me' on Tamla in January 1959. To celebrate 50 years in the business, Universal are planning a year long celebration of events and releases. To kick start it all, The Motown 50 will be released on the 1st December. Universal are inviting the public to vote for their favourite Motown songs and the UK version of the album will be made up of the top polling songs. The vote is taking place in conjunction with Poll The People, and you can visit the voting page by clicking here. The closing date for entries is Monday 13th October, so don't wait too long before making your choices.
