Rob Messer opens record shop

Long-time mod and northern soul scene DJ Rob Messer has opened a record shop in Leigh-On-Sea.Rob_messer

The shop sells mainly '60s and '70s vinyl (plus a small array of CDs), and specialises in soul, R'n'B, jazz, funk, ska & reggae, but also has plenty of '60s pop & beat. There is also a selection of newer music: punk, new wave, mod revival, dance 12"s, and new bands. Those that know Rob's sales lists will know how much great stock he has for sale. It is worth making the visit to Leigh-On-Sea, as besides Rob's store there is a decent vintage clothes store, many interesting boutiques and even a "mod-inspired art" shop too.

Hip City Records
11 Clements Arcade, The Broadway, Leigh-On-Sea
Opening hours: 12 noon - 5.30pm Wednesday through Saturday
