Eyes Wide Open club in Glasgow

Scotland is a place with plenty of 60s vibes at the moment. Theres a number of local garage-psych bands making themselves known, and at the epicentre of this is the popular Eyes Wide Open club in Glasgow.Ewo_summer

Hosts Holly & Sarah are now settled into their new home of the Twisted Wheel on the first Friday of the month, and the summer calender looks pretty nifty. This week (June 6th) sees 'French' garage rockers Les Bof! play live - local lads reworking 60s classics with the lyrics sung in French. Must be seem to be believed. Guest DJs are Uptight Tonight from London. Then on July the 4th Irish garage legends The Urges head over the Irish Sea to play, with support from Falkirk newcomers The Doledrums. Graham from Figure 5 will guest DJ. And finally on August 1st Edinburgh's eternally cool beat combo The Thanes play live, and joining them that night from Edinburgh is Go-Go Club DJ Tall Paul Robinson. Make sure you get down Eyes Wide Open this summer early, as this club can fill up fast.
