Allen Toussaint to play London

Allen Toussaint is set to play a rare show in London.Toussaint

The New Orleans singer, songwriter and producer par excellence will play the Mojo Club on Monday August 4th at the Roundhouse in Camden. Since the mid-50s Toussaint has been lending his hand to some of the most memorable R&B and southern soul songs, working with Lee Dorsey, Benny Spellman, Dr. John, The Meters, Irma Thomas, and many more. He also worked in the fields of rock and pop, collaborating with amongst others The Band, Elvis Costello and Paul McCartney. He recently finished producing London-based blues singer James Hunter. Except to see one or more of these stars joining Toussaint onstage during the performance.

Tickets for the show (which will probably sell out quickly, so we don't advise you hang around) cost £27.50 and are available from Aloud here .
