Scooter rallies this summer

As the weather improves and thoughts turn to the summer it's the perfect time to go out and show off the  scooter at a rally. Here are two similarly-entitled events at which to do just that. Run2thescrum_5

If you wish to Run From The Scum then visit Cornwall this May. Organised jointly by Troglodytes, Section 8 and Southern Templars scooter clubs, the event runs for two days on the Friday 16th and Saturday 17th of May at Trevelgue Holiday Park in Porth, near Newquay. Caravan and camping are both available on site. Live music comes from Too Hot and DC Fontana, and weekend DJs include Emma Cox, Terry Walters and Dave Porter. What's more this 10th anniversary event costs only £10.

However should you wish to Run To The Scrum then you need to get to Staffordshire in July. Organised by Way 67, the second edition of the weekend runs from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th July at Burntwood Rugby Club in Burntwood. As well as live bands and many family activities there are three rooms of music, including one run by the Hipshaker crew playing soul, funk, jazz, and rock, and one dubbed 'Scorcher', promising northern soul and Jamaican sounds. As above the event costs just £10 in advance all weekend.
