Meltdown 2008 announced

The line-up for 2008's Meltdown Festival, London Southbank's annual gig-fest, has just been announced.Massive

This year's event, which runs from the 14th to the 21st June, is being curated by Massive Attack. There are a few acts of particular interest to Modculture readers. Most notably is that psych-rockers Gong will be playing a rare UK show on the 14th, Horace Andy will play an acoustic show on the 15th, jazz-soul man Terry Callier performs on the 20th, and funk-rock legends George Clinton and P-Funk play on the 21st. Also on the 15th will be a screening of The Night James Brown Saved Boston. Massive Attack themselves play on the opening and closing nights.
