New band: Trio Valore
A new band in name, but Trio Valore features a few familiar faces.
This three-piece consists of Steve White (Paul Weller/Style Council), Damon Minchella (Ocean Colour Scene) and Seamus Beaghen (everyone from Morrissey and Iggy Pop through to Death In Vegas).
Together, they're offering a new slant on the basement R&B/jazz combo, with an uptempo mix of drums, bass, hammond and brass - check out the tracks on the band's MySpace page for a taster. The first album is titled Return Of The Iron Monkey should be out in May on an as-yet unconfirmed label. Might well be worth checking out.

Went to see these guy's last night (14 oct 08) in Liverpool Philharmonic's Rosewald Suite. My friends mate, Duncan provided guitar for five songs and was great! Very intimate and funky. Loved it! Cover of Hendrix' Fire Was a belter. You gotta see these guy's.
